Moulay Abdelghani-Idrissi, obtained his PhD in science engineering at the University of Rouen (France) where he is currently Full Professor. He was director of the Thermal Engineering and Energy department from 1999 to 2005. Then, he was Director of the University Institute of Technology of Rouen from 2009 to 2015. He was also Director of the international office of the University of Rouen from 2016 to 2017 before being nominated Delegate for Research and Technology of New Caledonia near by the "Haut Commissaire de la République" between 2017 and 2021. During this period, he coordinated all Caledonian research projects generally related to the biodiversity preservation of this French overseas territorymarked by the extraction of mining resources, particularly Nickel. Afterwards, he was project manager at the French Ministry of higher education and research for the management of programs to support partnership between public research organizations and private companies. During his career, he led European projects financed by the European INTERREG fund in collaboration with the University of Brighton (UK) relating to the sustainable development of the built environment.A comparative study on environmental assessment tools for buildings was carried-out.The integration of renewable energies into the building was also a part of his work, such as the domestic thermal solar system. He studied as well the thermal unsteady statesbehavior of processes to evaluate the thermal stability and safety.
