Dr. RaghavendraNaik earned his M.Tech and Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur in 2016 and 2022, respectively. He commenced his professional career as an Assistant Professor at NIT Jamshedpur in September 2022. He is awardee of National Post-Doctoral fellowship, India and Indian Overseas Scholarship. Dr. Naikholds research expertise in control strategies for small/micro hydro, solar PV, and battery storage integrated isolated DC microgrid systems under transient peak load conditions.
Currently, he is engaged as a guest Post-Doc researcher with the Center for Research on Microgrids at Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark, where his primary focus lies in the application of Artificial Intelligence to grid integrated EV charging stations. Specifically, he is developing intelligent control algorithms for peak load control of Grid-integrated EV charging stations. Also, he is exploring the optimization algorithms to balance thepeak EV load with minimum charging station capacity. Concurrently, he collaborates with Prof. Mohan Lal Kolhe’s research group on the development of economically sized hydro-centered microgrids for rapid EV charging stations, aiming to reduce the per kWh recharging cost during peak load conditions.
